Creating a Project
To create a project, choose the "Open Project Directory..." item from the "File" menu. You will then be prompted to select a directory. Taco HTML Edit will create a project using all of the files and subdirectories contained within the chosen directory.

Using the Project Window
The project window has three main parts. The left side includes a list of all files and directories that are part of the project. Notice that the names of image files are gray to show that they are images. Also, edited files that have not been saved are highlighted in gray. The right side displays and allows you to edit the text of the currently selected document. The right side can also display images if an image is selected. Finally, the top includes a standard toolbar. Also, the top always has an "Add File..." button, and it displays the current file name relative to the root directory of the project.

Adding a New File to a Project
Every project window includes a button that allows you to add a new file to a project. Clicking this button will display a panel that asks you to supply a location and a name for the new file. The new file must be created in the root directory of the project.
Automatic Relative Links in Projects
Projects include drag-and-drop functionality to make creating links very easy. To create a relative link, you must simply drag the name of the file that you are linking to, and then drop it in the text of the file that will include the link. In other words, select the file that will contain the link so that its text appears on the right. Then drag a file name from the left to the text box on the right. If you are dragging an image file, then an image tag (with appropriate height and width attributes) will be created instead of a link.
Project Preferences - Blocking Certain File Types
If you want to prevent files with certain extensions from being added to a project, then you can do this using the Preferences panel.
